College Peer to Peer Trading

WHAT IS  PEER – TO – PEER?

Peer to Peer trading commonly known as P2P trading  is a decentralized platform whereby two individuals interact directly with each other, without intermediation by a third-party. Instead, the buyer and the seller transact directly with each other via the P2P service.

SOME POPULAR P2P SERVICE PROVIDERS :

  • Open-source Software – anybody can view and/or modify the code for the software
  • BitTorrent – a popular anonymous file-sharing platform where up-loaders and downloads meet to swap media and software files.
  • Air BnB – allows property owners to lease all or part of their property to short-term renters.
  • Uber – a platform for car owners to offer delivery service to people seeking a taxi ride
  • Spotify – uses P2P networking to efficiently stream real-time audio content on-demand
  • eBay – a marketplace for private sellers of goods to find interested buyers.
  • Etsy

COLLEGE PEER – TO PEER TRADE

PRESENT

Let’s first discuss the present demographics and the present colleges vs student ratio. We have referred to the Human resource development ministry of India for the data acquisition.

Anyone who’s gone to college or been near one at the end of a semester has seen the extreme waste that goes on, as items that were used for a few months are thrown in the giant dumpsters that most schools have available students to use, lest they trash the streets. Usable items are routinely discarded due to limitations in moving trucks, cars or storage units. We all throw away our books, gadgets, buckets, hangers etc. just because we can’t transport them when we could have as easily sold them or donated them and also earned a few bucks in the process. Enterprising students or local residents often try to come by and take what was left behind to sell, but that’s an imperfect system to be sure. The incoming freshers often have an uncanny situation of purchasing goods which are required such as mattresses, buckets, necessary furniture, bicycles etc when they can easily procure them from outgoing or passed out hostellers or dorm students easily. They are unable to as there doesn’t exist a medium or a link with the current students and a connection takes time to develop. We provide an easy solution to it. We bring forward a peer to peer networking app which gives us impromptu connections which is completely professional and hassle-free and totally organized.

STUDENTS TESTIMONIALS

“I travelled from Mumbai to Delhi for college to find that I had to purchase all commodities such as buckets, mattress, mugs, cycle, routers etc. which I could have easily procured from final year pass out students had I any means of connecting to them or easily communicating with them“

“My parents had to put up in a nearby Hotel for a couple of days to search or a P.G./Hostel in the scorching heat as there were no contacts available readily.“

THE CAMPUS HAAT CATCH

WHY?

“DO YOU HAVE THINGS, NOT USING ANYMORE?”

“WANNA SELL THEM, RENT, DONATE, AUCTION?”

“WANNA GET IN DORM DELIVERY OF FOOD, JUICE, GROCERIES?”

“WANNA GET MAID SERVICES, CAB, BUS, RICKSHAW, PG ACCOMMODATION, FLAT BROKERS?”

HOW?

The app lets students “be your own community market,”. Much like eBay, students can set their own prices for materials. But the app encourages buyers and sellers to connect on their campuses and complete transactions in person or via a payment gateway along with various credits and cashback options.

The team has been able to run a pilot application successfully along with various Beta versions based on feedback and surveys which have had ian mmediate impact on improving components of the app to make the app marketplace as seamless as possible. “It helps us provide what they need, not what we think they want.”

We do this by giving evidence-based information, sharing experiences, supporting our peers and connecting each other with helpful resources. Mostly, though, we just want to create a happier, healthier community.

STUDENTS TESTIMONIALS

“I came after a gym session and wanted a refreshing glass of mango juice but didn’t have the will to walk 200 m to the vendor in June heat. Luckily, I placed the order on Campus Haat and got it delivered in my room in 15 minutes.“

“I used to leave my books in the dorm after each semester which were sold to the kabadiwala but instead I donated them to a student using Campus Haat this time.“

“I used Campus Haat extensively and sold my cooler, books and rented my cycle. My midnight food fetishes were fulfilled by Campus Haat too.“
